A pesar de que es duro, el transfondo de los personajes se muestra muy bien (no tanto como para saber todo su pasado ni tan poco como para no entender por qué hace lo que hace). Aún así, a partir del capítulo 20 hasta el 26 hay un mini arco de batalla donde se puede apreciar el potencial que tiene esta serie como shonen.

Katekyō es una de estas series que introducen su propio sistema de clases y su propia manera de luchar, no tiene nada que ver con otro tipo de mangas que se haya visto y su influencia por el mundo de la mafia italiana contribuye mucho a su riqueza.
